Ravel: Piano Works
Prelude pour le piano

I am six weeks into school. Almost time for a Sr. recital hearing. Almost time for midterms. Almost time for a Sr. recital. Almost time to student teach. Almost time to be DONE!

I  have a sweet lizard (ok, it's my roommate's). His name is Achilles. I highly suggest bearded dragons as pets. They are the best you can do if you are not allowed to have dogs.

I like making my own food. I would have never expected to say that (at least before marriage).

Having a fire and roasting marshmellows is the perfect past time for a Saturday night. It is also extra special to have this kind of festivity with your boyfriend. And share a blanket once it gets cold out.

Wedding pictures are amazing. I hope I have awesome wedding pictures when I get married.

My family is amazing. And so is my other family (aka Joe's family).

Summer Days Drifting Away...

Joe has come home. And my life is amazing again.

The pool is running. Although at times I feel that I might get squashed by the sheer attitude of the teenage pool rats (not to metion that the teenage boys are taller and stronger than me- which is a little scarry).  It was freakishly hot yesterday. I love the sun and I love the water, but yesterday was a beast. We survived though- many many rotaions up in chair and a few dinner breaks. I couldn't wait until the sun set.

Physics is going... I have to work on more homework today since I had no time at the pool yesterday. Piano is also coming along. How I love it.

Count downs:
5 days until JOE!
6 days until Bethany's wedding!
14 days until I am baptized!
16 days until Ellie comes home!
19 days until MICHIGAN
!

P.S. I love Joe with my whole heart.

Is it June already? Oh my! 22 days until my amazing Joseph is back! I can't wait...

Run down of a typical week for me since June started... I run errands and practice piano (although never enough) on Mondays and Wednesdays. I also have great conversations with my MI boys and laugh with my sisters. Tuesdays and Thursdays I am at the pool ALL DAY! I'm starting to get a nice tan. How I love summer and the pool/sun! The weekends are for more working at the pool as well as hanging out with my friends. I'm learning how to bowl a curve ball (thanks Mark!), focus on getting a hope in one (at mini glof my friends), and I will probably be found in Mark's hot tub a lot now that it is up and running. Mmm, despite the fact that this weekend was freezing, Mark's hot tub was still great!

All in all the summer is almost in full swing. This week my physics class begins for real. Good thing I have a tutor at the pool and then Joe at my beck and call once he comes home. I mean.... I rock at physics. I still have to test out of economics and educational psychology, but those should be a breeze. Swim lessons begin June 19. I can see my tan growing darker now! And lots LOTR reading being done.

Have a great night or day, depending on where you are and when you read this.

Random question of the day: What would you do on a topless beach in Europe?

Hello friends! It has been a long time. I have been out of school for alomst a month. I love how that sounds. It also means that in about 48 weeks I will be graduating from IWU with a B.S. in music education and applied piano. How sweet is that?

Let me give you a run down of my past month.

  • The first week back I mostly sat around. There was really not a lot going on other than sleeping. And I loved it!
  • I got together with Mindy and Mark a few times (and Lauren once). It was a blast, of course. I can't wait for croquet and hot tubbing! Ooo baby!
  • I have worked a few shifts at the SRC. I love monitoring. It has to be the easiest job- I read and talk to people. I also worked in the pool. I will not be able to get out of that pool until I move away for good and my certification is expired.
  • I've had a few meetings with my other job- VP pool manager and swim lesson coordinator. We open this weekend folks! if the weather is nice. I hope it is... I need to work on my tan!  (please, this is a lifeguard face)
  • I spent last week in Grnager, IN babysitting my cousins while their parents were in Texas. I loved playing mommy... but I'm NOT at all ready to be a mom yet! I mean, I handled everything well- really well but I am waaay too selfish to be a real mom. I like my sleep and alone time!
  • I am currently nannying for a family from church, for the entire week. Again with the whole mommy thing. Right now I am waiting for Brandon to wake up from his nap. I have realized that nap times are AMAZING! And that talking to adults is also a HUGE blessing (Jas and AJ I appreciate you guys!).
  • This is nothing new, but I MISS MY BOYFRIEND!!!!! Thinking about him is a 24/7 activity. I think it's 43 days... I can't wait!!!!  (not gonna lie, there will be a lot of  going on... )

Drop me a line or give me a call sometime... once the pool opens up I would LOVE to have you stop by there too! You know you want to work on a tan with me! Or just chillax.
